Outreach and Engagement

Launched in January 2019, our newest program is geared toward preventing homelessness and reducing the time someone experiences homelessness. Our Outreach and Engagement program provides supportive, community based case management services to assist in navigating the emergency shelter system and access basic resources for stability.

This program can pay utility and rental arrears necessary for landlord mediation and provide security deposit assistance for those who can stabilize their current living situation without shelter intervention. We can also help to remove transportation barriers that threaten or prevent employment.

Those who are experiencing homelessness and who require assistance navigating the shelter and/or housing systems, can visit our Coordinator in the Milford Public Library from 10:00am-12:00pm on Mondays and Thursdays or contact the Center at any time for an appointment.
